Inspired by the classic Star Wars action figures from the 70s and 80s, Numskull has designed and engineered a 98-piece Star Wars hard enamel metal pin set with a glossy finish, sold as  individual sets of two, a deluxe bundle (contains sets 7-49 if you had already bought the earlier ones), or the ultimate collector bundle (which contains the full collection of all 98 pins) on justgeek.com. According to the description, “each individual pin has been lovingly designed and crafted to capture the unique qualities of each character from the iconic franchise and is the perfect addition for any fan wanting to take their collection to the next level”. This set is part of the Pin Kings collection, which features Pop & Geek Culture pins.

The Star Wars Lapel Pin Advent Calendar was released for the 2020 holidays. Inside are 24 pins (21 enamel pins, 1 full metal pin, 1 custom offset pin, and one button). Each of the 24 dates has a different pin behind it. Most pins I have never seen anywhere else, a few I have seen in various Amazon 6-packs and a few seem to be small versions of existing pin designs including official Disney designs. These pins are mostly soft enamel, and not very large. While they are not extremely high quality, they are also well designed and surprising to uncover. Some are holiday themed, some are Hoth themed, and others have no theme at all. The pins are only references to the Star Wars movies, not TV shows or other media.

Star Wars Celebration is an official convention about all things Star Wars run by Reedpop for many years. During the convention, attendees can buy and collect and trade a large series of Star Wars pins which is different each year. Many collectors try and collect every pin in the set which is an expensive and difficult task as the pins normally come from multiple sources and blind boxes with chasers. In addition there are often one-off pins by the event and by individual vendors.

In 2020, the convention was cancelled and postponed to 2022. However, they still had the 2020 merchandise, which was being sold online. Here are the pins for the 2020 collection.

Original event date ticket holders would have received an email from Star Wars Celebration on November 12th with details on how to activate their Star Wars Celebration Store account.  The early access period for original event date ticket holders officially began on Friday, November 13th at 12 noon Eastern. The Star Wars Celebration Exclusive Merchandise Store was open to the public on Friday, November 20th at 12 noon Eastern.

While Disney has multiple Star Wars “Pin of the Month” series available, the Droid Schematic series is by far my favorite. This series features 12 different droids from various Star Wars movie and television shows in a unique format – these pins are hinged, with a clear window on the front of the pin that swings open, and once open, reveals that the window has a drawn schematic of the droid which is not as visible when the hinge is closed. Some of the hinges open on the left while others open on the right, and the pins range in color based on the droid they are meant to resemble.

The pin set started with the orange BB-8 pin in June 2019, and were released monthly until March 2020, in which quarantine closed the parks and the effects of quarantine was likely starting to affect supply lines. In July 2020, the highly-desirable blue R2-D2 pin was released online only, quickly selling out, even though many of the other pins in the series were not as popular. The first pin, BB-8, also seems to have quickly sold out. In November 2020, the final pin popped up in the physical stores without much announcement or fanfare. The C1-10P pin seems to not have come out at all.
